The 16th annual CCHA StormHawk Award Ceremony will be held on
The CCHA strongly believes in a balance between schoolwork and sports activities and would like to once again recognize those athletes in the upper levels of play who have maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale during the hockey season.
Each award recipient will be individually recognized and receive a StormHawk Certificate, t-shirt (based on availability), and be entered into a raffle drawing for the opportunity to win exciting prizes.
It that time of year again, even if it doesn’t look like it outside for the OPTIONAL Holasek Greenhouse spring fundraiser.
When you participate in the player specific fundraiser, 20% of the sale is placed in your player’s account. This money is then used to offset your fees for the 2014/2015 hockey season. This is a great way to start your own hockey savings account.
If you are interested in participating in the sale, you will need to print the following attachments:
· Holasek Fundraiser General Guidelines
· Holasek order form
Please make note of the timelines given on the General Guideline attachment.
This information will also be posted on the Fundraising page of the CCHA website.
Primary contact for the sale will be Treacy Welch. If you have any questions, please contact her at fundraising @cchockey.org
As another year of youth hockey begins to wind down, it's important we all vote for the Board of Director (BOD) Candidates and take the time to fill out the coprehensive coach evaluation.
March 13, 2014 (midnight) - Voting will close
March 17, 2014 - Elected members will be introduced at the CCHA Board Meeting
Members may vote once for each registered player (that is why when you enter the voting process it asks you to select a player). All votes are kept anonymous.
FYI - Approximately two weeks from now many of next year's open Key Volunteer positions will be posted. These will include three Hockey Development Committee positions, two webmaster roles, and other positions. Keep your eye on the website!
Michael Clauson, CCHA President
Coaches evaluation is now open. (link below) The evaluation will be closed at midnight, April 18th, 2014. This survey is anonymous; comments are generalized and summarized for the April 21, 2014 Board Meeting.
On behalf of the CCHA Board of Directors and Hockey Development Committee, we hope your family had a fun and rewarding season. We are proud of the Association for many reasons and believe we have the finest group of parents and players, bar none. We also realize there is plenty of room for improvement.
Your coaches likely put in 120+ hours for the current hockey season. In this spirit, could you please spend a few minutes completing the numerical survey ranking and add your well thought out, constructive comments for improvement and compliments.
Make it a goal to finish your survey before spring break. Each input is scrutinized and utilized for next year's coach selections.
The decision as to whether the warming houses at the City of Chanhassen outdoor rinks is decided on a daily basis. There will be no notices sent by CCHA. It is up to each team to check the weather line after noon each day at 952-227-1411 to see if the outdoor rinks are open.
Outdoor rinks can be closed for extreme cold, warm temps, snowfall, or maintenance problems. The only way to know if the rinks are open is to call the hotline.
Outdoor ice is provided free by the City of Chanhassen to CCHA.
We wish to thank Aspire Beverage Company for their support and Gold Level Sponsorship of the CCHA Golf Scramble. Please visit their website at the link below.
If CCHA activities are cancelled due to weather conditions - this is the place to look. The latest information will always be here on our home page.
Note that even if District 112 cancels evening activities, do not assume CCHA will cancel as well. Typically the rinks remain open.
For District 6 game status, weather cancellations will be on the D6 home page by 5pm.
