Dear CCHA members:
The Boys Hockey Development Committee (BHDC), in consultation with CCHA’s Board of Directors, processed enhancements to the Squirt, PeeWee, and Bantam tryout process to afford players across all levels of play (C, B1, B2, A, AA) improved tryout visibility. To this end, the BHDC is hosting two (2) Town Hall meetings where the approved tryout changes can be described in detail and members can ask pertinent follow up questions.
The Town Halls are scheduled for Tuesday, July 24th and Sunday, July 29th, both at the Chaska High School Blue Forum Room starting at 7:00 PM. The meeting format will include a description of the approved changes followed by a question and answer with the those in attendance. Additionally, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document will be made available and updated as additional questions are generated.

In an effort to promote a standardized uniform for CCHA players, the CCHA board approved a policy to standardize player equipment colors. Beginning with the 2017-18 season, all CCHA players on the "Upper" levels (Squirt/U10, Peewee/U12, Bantam/U15) will be required to wear black helmets, gloves and breezers (or shell). In providing one year advance notice of this change all players are encouraged to begin the transition of non-compliant equipment this year. These requirements do not apply to Rookie, Termite, Mini-mite, Mite or 6U/8U teams, however we encourage all players to purchase black equipment when possible.
